Leadership

Andrew and Kim Arthur married in July of 2005. They are expecting to welcome their first child into the world in November 2010—a little girl! Since before Andrew and Kim met, and especially since, God has been shaping in them a desire to proclaim the gospel and make disciples among those in an under-reached context. Andrew was first drawn to the Pacific NW through his preaching, camp pastoring and missions experience in the Pacific NW and Canada. Growing up in a non-Christian family with a mixed ethnic and religious heritage, Kim is naturally drawn to those who are unreached and/or diverse in background. God used Andrew and Kim's time serving together as campus ministers at Tulane University, New Orleans, to confirm this next step of their journey. Tulane is a university in the urban sprawl of New Orleans and boasts of being liberal and diverse in its social, political and religious environment. It was through learning to communicate and live the gospel in this environment that Andrew and Kim began sensing the Lord’s leading to plant a church in a similar context.  Through much prayer and counsel, they believe God’s will for them is to plant a church in the urban sprawl of Seattle, Washington.
