Our prayer is that we would make disciples locally in Kansas City who in turn would shake the nations globally for the glory of Christ among all peoples.

About Us

  • Vision, Mission and Goal

    “To know, love and glorify God and in dependence upon Him develop multiplying disciples to reach the nations.”

    VISION: “To know, love and glorify God…”

    We exist for God. Therefore, as a church and as individuals our ultimate pursuit is to know God truly, love Him deeply and glorify Him supremely. We are God-centered and wholeheartedly strive to make much of Him in all we do (Isaiah 43:6-7, 25; Psalm 106:7-8).

    MISSION: “…and in dependence upon Him develop multiplying disciples…”

    Our mission is to raise up disciples who love Jesus supremely, each other humbly and the world sacrificially. However, our focus isn’t simply to make disciples but multiplying disciples, i.e., disciples who are adequately equipped to make disciples of others by sharing, teaching, showing and multiplying the Word. We are unable to do this on our own, we are utterly dependent upon Him.

    GOAL: “…to reach the nations.”

    We will sacrificially give our time, energy and resources towards becoming a mission-sending base which develops disciple-making disciples and deploys them all over the planet. We long for God’s glory to be extended to the ends of the earth with multiplying disciples who know, love and glorify Him from every tongue, tribe and nation.

    Core values best express our top priorities and what we cherish most as a church.  Above anything and everything else we want to be a people who are deeply passionate about the gospel.  We want to be a church where the gospel is not merely a message for people who don’t know Jesus, but also a message for believers that shapes every facet of our church in the following ways:

  • Philosophy

    Based upon our vision, mission, goal and core values we have adopted the following philosophy of ministry for making disciples of all nations.  In order to most effectively communicate our philosophy we have decided to contrast it with what we are not.  Our desire is in no way to look down or condemn those churches who have a different philosophy than us, but rather try our best to describe who we believe God wants us to be and how we want to go about making disciples.

    Biblical Rather Than Pragmatic

    We want to give ourselves wholeheartedly to God’s Word and methods, rather than rely on popular trends, thoughts and opinions.

    People Rather Than Programs

    As church leaders we want to intentionally focus our time on equipping people to do the ministry, rather than spending the majority of our time on planning ministry programs to do the ministry for us. Our mission rises and falls on leadership development.

    Missional Rather Than Attractional

    We want to be a base of ministry, not simply a place of ministry. Instead of ministering on the basis of people coming to us, our approach is to equip people to take the ministry to the world.

    Simple Rather Than Complex

    We don’t want people to spend all of their time at church programs or church-wide activities, instead we want to free them up to make disciples in their homes and neighborhoods. We also believe that a simple model is much more reproducible as we strive to plant churches and engage in cross-cultural ministry.

    Depth Rather Than Width

    Rather than gauging success based on quantifiable numbers such as Sunday morning worship attendance or small group attendance, we will measure success by whether or not people are maturing as disciples of Jesus Christ.

    Multiplication Rather Than Addition

    Rather than simply adding more and more to one church, our desire is to be a multiplying community of disciples who aggressively seeks to plant churches throughout the Kansas City metro area and the world.

    Sacrificial Rather Than Comfortable

    We want to sacrifice our resources and even lives for the sake of the glory of Christ among those with urgent spiritual and physical needs throughout our city and the world.
