Staff Team
Wes Sullivan Minister of Students

What is your favorite part of your job?
I am a people person, so my favorite moments are times spent with students and/or leaders. More specifically, one of my favorite things is to see the transformation process of a young student as they grow in their relationship with Christ.
How & when did you first come to Brook Hills?
Throughout college, I served on summer staff with Student Life, a camp and conference company. Many of the full-time staff went to BH, and I visited periodically with them. I later came on staff in January of 2004.
Where are you from?
I grew up in Pearl, MS (home of the Pearl Pirates!! GO BLUE AND GOLD!).
Who is in your family?
Danielle (wife, married in 2004), Malakai and Amiya (twins, born in 2008)
Please provide a short testimony about your relationship with Christ?
I grew up in a one-parent household, but it was a strong Christian home. My church had a basketball program that got me heavily involved. When I was 12 years old, I began a relationship with Christ after hearing a message on the Lambs book of Life. My journey for the next 5 years includes a rollercoaster of ups and downs, but the two constants were 2 men (a Sunday school teacher and another man within my faith family) who invested in me on a regular basis. I later surrendered to full time ministry at a youth camp in the summer of 1997. From that point, I began to own my faith and grow in my time in the Word and my relationship with Christ. In college, I can remember 2 other men who graciously pointed me toward Christ and helped me see areas of my life that needed God’s sharpening. The Lord continues to sanctify me, and I trust he will carry this out to completion.
What’s your favorite Bible verse?
Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
Colossians 3:12-13
I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Romans 12:1-2
What is the best place you have ever visited?
Danielle and I had the opportunity to visit the Cinque Terre for our 5 year anniversary. There was a small village called Vernazza that was the most beautiful and relaxing place we had ever been.
