Staff Team
Travis Hawkins Creative Director

What is your job at Brook Hills?
Video production, artistic direction, creative catalyst, court jester...
What is your favorite part of your job?
The team I get to work with.
How & when did you first come to Brook Hills?
I was actually on staff from 1998 – 2001 as Drama Director, and returned in fall of 2010 as Creative Director.
Where are you from?
Norman, OK
Who is in your family?
My folks live in Nashville, I have a sister in North Carolina…and I’m engaged to be married in September 2011!
Please provide a short testimony about your relationship with Christ?
I came to trust in Christ at the age of 7. Obviously, the childlike faith of a 7 year-old is different from that of an adult. My journey with the Lord has had many up and downs, twists and turns. But Christ and his love for me remain constant. Each day is a new opportunity to draw closer to him, learn from him, and serve him better.
What’s your favorite Bible verse?
Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths. Ask where the good way is and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls (NIV). Jeremiah 6:16
What was the best concert you’ve ever been to?
It’s a toss-up between Rich Mullins and Yo La Tengo, but I’m gonna go with Rich Mullins.
What is the best place you have ever visited?
When I was 27, I quit my job and went to Europe. I returned broke and happy.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I love the Southwest. There aren’t any hills getting in the way of the scenery.
What do you collect?
From the 1940s through the 1960s, Carl Barks authored and illustrated 500 Donald Duck and Uncle Scrooge stories for Disney. I have about 100 of them.
If your life was made into a movie, who would be cast as you & why?
Probably Rainn Wilson. (Dwight from “The Office.”) I’ve come to terms with it.
