Staff Team
Emma Robertshaw Communications Ministry Assistant

What is your job at Brook Hills?
I serve as project manager and point of contact for the Communications Department, while also providing administrative support. I create those pretty little Worship Guides you get every Sunday, too!
What is your favorite part of your job?
First and foremost, you should know that I am a planner, organizer, and list-making queen! I honestly couldn’t function without these skills and wouldn’t have it any other way, so any job that highlights those traits, while also allowing me to delve into some creative work, is a good job for me! The people I work with aren’t too bad, either!
How & when did you first come to Brook Hills?
I was introduced to the wonderful Watkins family at my first job with Cebert Pharmaceuticals. They told me about this job opening; I joined the staff here at the beginning of June 2011, and the rest is history!
Where are you from?
Born in Atlanta, GA. Raised in Birmingham, AL.
Who is in your family?
My wonderful family consists of Ben, 20, who has now surpassed me in his musical talents, knowledge, & coolness; Tom & Janet, my hilarious, supportive, & loving parents.
Please provide a short testimony about your relationship with Christ?
I’m blessed to have been born, raised, & baptized in the church. His grace is ever present in my life today, and I continue to seek, learn, worship, love & pray for a deeper relationship with Christ.
What’s your favorite Bible verse?
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. Psalms 19:14
What was the best concert you’ve ever been to?
Paramore @ The Tabernacle, Atlanta, GA, 10/27/09 - - Meet & Greet beforehand, oh snap! It’s no secret... they’re my favorite, so needless to say, it was a bit of a freak out moment for me!
“I recommend…”
Windows down & stereo up, especially and more practically at night in this southern heat.
If your life was made into a movie, who would be cast as you & why?
People say I look like Taylor Swift (tall, blonde, & a little awkward apparently), but if the movie of my life turns out to be anything like her debut in Valentine’s Day, I think I’d have to pass. I would shoot for Reese Witherspoon - southern accent already included!
What do you collect?
Anything and everything from your local thrift store… scarves, boxes, bottles, frames, old clothing, letters, pictures, cameras, decorative items, etc. I love a bargain.
What silly trick can you do that most people can’t?
I can cross my eyes without even trying - - sans glasses, it happens. It’s avoided at all costs; trust me.
