Elizabeth Comeaux Worship Ministry Assistant

What is your job at Brook Hills?
I keep the creative people organized.

What is your favorite part of your job?
I love that our purpose for coming to work is not the bottom line but to worship the Lord and point others to Him. Also, I work with a wonderful group of people who are really fun to be around.

How & when did you first come to Brook Hills?
I became a member of Brook Hills in 2006 after my husband and I got married. On March 25, 2008, I joined the worship staff.

Where are you from?
I was born in Atlanta but grew up in Auburn, AL.

Who is in your family?
Chris is my husband, and we have two cats.

Please provide a short testimony about your relationship with Christ.
Throughout my childhood and adolescence I was constantly trying to be good enough for God and everyone else when He taught me there's nothing I could do to earn His favor. He opened my heart to grace, showed me that the work is Christ's alone, and He saved me from my sin.

What’s your favorite Bible verse?
It changes, but at the time of this posting it is, For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

What musical skill(s) do you have?
I studied piano in grade school and played clarinet in my high school marching band. Mostly I was involved with ballet, though. I danced throughout college and taught for a little while after graduation.

What was the best concert you’ve ever been to?
James Taylor at Oak Mountain Amphitheater

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
It’s impossible to pick just one place. I’d love to travel the world for the year, but I’d definitely go to Germany, Austria and Switzerland because I majored in German. Then I'd tour the rest of Europe followed by Asia and Africa.

If you had a super power, what would it be & why?
I would love to be able to clean my house just by snapping my fingers. I hate cleaning – you’re never done.

“I recommend…”
Taking time out of your week to sit outside in the shade or curl up on your couch and get lost in a good book.
