How & when did you first come to Brook Hills?
I had spent 12 years as a stay at home mom with my two boys when my husband was suddenly without a job. A friend told me there was an opening at The Church at Brook Hills. The Administrator at that time was a friend from seminary, he told me to come for an interview and I was hired. My plan was to work until Rus found a job – that was November 5, 1999 and I am still here. Rus has been on staff at NorthPark Baptist Church since June of 2000.
Where are you from?
I was born in Birmingham. I married Rus and moved to Fort Worth, Texas for seminary. Then we moved to Fayetteville, NC, where Rus served at a church for 9 and 1/2 years. We are now back in Alabama.
Who is in your family?
My husband, Rus, sons Andrew and Benjamin, and Aubie the cat.
Please provide a short testimony about your relationship with Christ?
I was raised in a Christian home and accepted Christ at age 17. I learned what it meant to be totally dependent on Him, while expecting my younger son, Benjamin. We were told in my sixth month that Ben had Down Syndrome and the doctors strongly encouraged us to “terminate the pregnancy.” I have learned through the last 20 years that God is always faithful and His promises are always true. Ben has been a blessing to our family and through him we have learned how to truly worship.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
What is the best place you have ever visited?
Hawaii
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
New York City
