I moved to Birmingham to attend Beeson Divinity School in the fall of 2008 and started attending Brook Hills that semester. I started coaching female college small group leaders and led a college freshman girls’ small group at the church, interned with the college ministry, and started working at the church in March of 2011.

Who is in your family?
My parents are Penny and Charles Chesnut, and I have a younger brother named T.J.

Please provide a short testimony about your relationship with Christ?
I grew up in college ministry and had the incredible opportunity to learn about God at an early age, but it took me several years to distinguish knowing about God from knowing Him personally as my Lord and Savior. While in bed one night, I pictured Jesus dying on the cross, and when I thought about how sinless and perfect He is and how sinful I am, I knew that I did not deserve for Him to take my punishment for the sins I have committed against God. However, He chose to demonstrate incredible grace by dying on the cross, and He lives today! When faced with such overwhelming good news, I repented of my sin and trusted in Jesus as my Savior and Lord knowing that this relationship is one that lasts for eternity and that He alone deserves my wholehearted adoration and service.

What’s your favorite Bible verse?
You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock. Isaiah 26:3-4
