Ladies, mark your calendars for September 22-23, when we will gather as the women of Brook Hills to pull away from life's busyness and enjoy our Savior together. The theme of our conference is "Delight: An Invitation to Taste, See, and Take Refuge in Our Good God," based on one particular Psalm.
Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. – Psalm 34:8
This weekend won't be a time where you're given a Christian to-do list. Rather, we will:
- Taste – take a step and try God or try Him again
- See – identify our frailties and shortcomings, recognize our need for grace, and savor His good gifts in our lives
- Take refuge – submit these failures and shortcomings to God and trust Him with our lives, families, and futures
Ladies, this is a time to breathe, relax, and spend time dedicated to delighting in who God is (and even learning how to do that). Hope you'll join us!

Trillia's writings on issues of faith, family, and diversity have been published in the Knoxville News-Sentinel, Desiring God, True Woman, Christianity Today, The Gospel Coalition, and more. She currently is the Director of Community Outreach for the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission for the Southern Baptist Convention. Newbell was the Lead Editor of Karis, the women’s channel for the Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood (2013-2015). In November 2011, she launched a Christian women’s blog-style e-zine, Women of God Magazine, where she was the managing editor.
Her greatest love besides God is her family. She is married to her best friend and love, Thern. They reside with their two children near Nashville, TN.

All sessions and breaks are in the Main Building.
All women ages 12 (6th grade) and up are welcome from Brook Hills and from the community. No childcare is available during the conference, but nursing infants are welcome.
Local Ministry Highlight
Sav-A-Life is a ministry we will highlight during Delight. Donations will be taken for both the Sav-A-Life Vestavia and Shelby locations during the conference. Lisa Hogan, Executive Director of Sav-A-Life Vestavia, shares what they’re all about:
