What Is Your Story? How Is God Working?
Brook Hills is collecting the stories of our members and attenders. How is God at work in your life, and what have you learned from it? When you share your story, you are sharing the Gospel--a living testament of God's work in our world. Even if you've never shared your experience before, you can have a part in the greater story of Brook Hills when you tell us what God has done in your life.

Our Senior Pastor, David Platt, has encouraged every believer to write out their story of salvation and then learn how to communicate that simply--in 100 words or less. You can submit your stories online now as part of your "homework."

Sharing Your Story
Fill out a "My Story" form online. Give us your story in 100 words or less.

Telling Your Story
Writing out your story can be an amazing exprience, verbalizing what has done in your life that you can then pass on to others. Remember three simple steps--three "acts" if you will--that form the beginning, middle and end of your story:

• What was life like before? What were your friends, interests and values before Christ? What was your religious background?
  
  
• What did God use to open your eyes? How were you awakened to your need for Christ? What were you thinking or noticing during this time? What did you come to undertand? How did the Gospel affect you?
  
  
• How did Christ change your life? What is different now? What changed, what are your desires now, and what are you doing today as a result?

The answers to these questions could be just a sentence or phrase--keep it simple, brief, clear and focused. Avoid "Christianese" words and make every phrase count. Yes, it's a challenge--but you can do it!
