So Long, Insecurity by Beth Moore takes you on a journey to identify insecurity in your life and to learn to fight it by the power of Christ.

Moore uses her own life experiences as examples of both the humorous and more destructive consequences of insecurity. The book reads like a conversation with a good girlfriend, and women see themselves and their own life experiences in the stories she tells. Moore teaches about the actions we take because of our insecurities and about possible roots of insecurities including past experiences and effects of our culture.

Finally, focusing on Proverbs 31:25, she takes you through reclaiming your God-given dignity from the paralyzing snare of insecurity and gives practical strategies for identifying our motives and for choosing to act as dignified women of God.

God has used this book to transform hearts in our small group of women. Through this book, we recognized the idols we looked to for affirmation and have realized the importance of looking to Christ for all our satisfaction and security. It was a healing and encouraging study for our whole group and one of the most powerful books for women I’ve had the pleasure of reading.
