For this reason, even though it’s the Christmas season, I say to you, do not be anxious for your life even if you feel like your “To Do” list is growing & your time is shrinking, as to what you shall feed the masses coming for Christmas dinner or what they shall drink when the pitchers & glasses are empty, nor for your body when Momma Santa is grumpy & needs a long winter’s nap, as to what you put on because your clothes don’t fit since you already gained 10 lbs and it ain’t even Christmas!!! Is not life more than ‘food,’ thank God He didn’t say chocolate! and the body more than clothing even when you don’t have the latest fashions for the family gathering.

Look at the birds of the air and the animals in the manger scene, they do not sow, neither do they reap, but He gathered them, and Our Heavenly Father fed them richly as they witnessed the blessed birth of the Christ Child. Are you not worth much more than they? Answer: Yes!

And which of you by being anxious can add a single cubit to your shopping list? Or a closer parking spot at the mall? Or more cash in your checking account?

Do not be anxious then, the gifts will be opened, the decorations put away, the carols will echo into the past…for your Heavenly Father knows your needs. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.
