Andrea Phillips
Job title: Global Disciple-Making Ministry Assistant
On the Brook Hills staff since: 2006
Birthday: March 14
Family: I am the daughter of John and Judy Lusk who live in Knoxville, Tennessee. I am currently engaged and will be starting my new family in the near future.
Ministry Calling: The focus of myministry is to abide in Christ and use short term missions to platform the disciple-making process through the vision, mission and goal of each disciple of Christ, to produce qualitative, world-impacting disciples of Christ.
What I Enjoy About Serving at Brook Hills: The community of believers I serve with and the world we as a body serve. I get to serve with some of my best friends and change the world with them.
Interesting and Unusual Facts: My favorite period of time is the 1940's. The country I have wanted to visit more than any other in the world is Egypt. I wanted to be an archaeologist when I was a kid and the holes in the back yard of my parents' house prove it. I took 15 years of dance growing up. My sister is almost 13 years older than me. My favorite animated movie is Aladdin.
My Relationship with Christ: I was drawn by the Holy Spirit to salvation at a student event when I was 16 years old. My life has been entirely difference since then. I am daily learning what it looks like to be a disciple of Christ and give my life to Him for the sake of others in the Kingdom.
Favorite Movies of All Time: Indian Jones movies
Favorite Musical Group or Artist: Andy Hunter
Favorite Football Team: Tennessee Volunteers! Go Big Orange!
Favorite Thing to Do on a Saturday: Spend time with my friends or fiance
Favorite Quote: "Cheap grace is the preaching of forgiveness without requiring repentence, baptism without church discipline, communion without confession, absolution without personal confession. Cheap grace is grace without discipleship, grace without the cross, grace without Jesus Christ, living and incarnate." --Dietrich Bonhoeffer
Last Thing I Do Before Going to Bed: Read for about an hour
A Historical Figure I Would Like to Meet: Franklin D. Roosevelt
In High School I Was Most Likely to Be: Paying sports
