Birthday: August 29

Family: I am a second generation native New Yorker married to a true Southerner from Edwin, Alabama. My husband and I have one daughter and four grandchilderen all residing here in Birminhgam. Our oldest grand daughter is attending Tuskegee University and our youngest grandson will be starting the second grade at Clay Chalkville Elementary in the fall.

Ministry Calling: My ministry focus/interest is on women and families.

What I Enjoy About Serving at Brook Hills: When I walk in the doors of this Church I feel at home. I love coming to Brookhills because of I love the people. I have great relationships with the members here. I have gotten to know so many of the people that I have served along side of and I feel so inspired by their faith, enthusiam and determination to do God's work.

Interesting and Unusual Facts: There are a few people who do not know that I am a retired Air Force Officer. My husband and I retired together in a joint ceremony as Lt. Colonels at Maxwell Air Force Base in 1999. I have used my miltary experience as a Protocol Officer and a Foreign Affairs Officer to teach Business Protocol and Social Etiquette for adults and teens.

My Relationship with Christ: My relationship with Christ began when I was in the third grade. Attending P.S. 155 in Queens, New York. I asked my parents for permission to attend religious instruction at a near by Catholic Church, Saint Theresa of Availa. That was the beginning of my relationship with Christ. Many years later I was baptized with a deeper understanding of the real meaning of salvation.

Favorite Movie of All Time: Little Women (the 1990s version)

Favorite Musical Group or Artist: Supremes with Diana Ross

Favorite Sports: Olympic figure skating and track and field

Favorite Thing to Do on a Saturday: Spending time with family and friends

Favorite Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 4:11 (NLT)

Last Thing I Do Before Going to Bed: Pray for my family

Historical Figures I Would Like to Meet: G. W. Carver or Frederic Douglass or Web Debois

In High School I Was Most Likely to Be: I can't remember

These Days I Am Most Likely to Be: Doing the things that all wives, mothers, grandmothers do to love, nuture and minister their families.
