Job title: Pastoral Care Pastor

On the Brook Hills staff since: 1995

Birthday: September 17

Family: Wife Donna (we will be married 40 years on August 20,2006). Children, Jamie Labello, married to Brian, with granddaughter, Brianna age 11, and Jana Lombardo, married to Luke, with grandsons, Eli, age7 and Gideon, age 3. All are members of Brook Hills.

Ministry Calling: I have served on a church staff since 1963 (43 years). I have served in the following areas: Worship, Students, Discipleship, Television, Pastoral Care and Missions. God called me to ministry to serve wherever and however He led.

What I Enjoy About Serving at Brook Hills: I believe with all my heart that God has his hand on this place and whever he is working I am commanded to join Him there. I enjoy the freedom to use the gifts God gave me and to be myself and to be what God called me to be. I enjoy not being placed in a box. I have the opportunity to love people where they are and be real with them. I love investing my life in people here and around the world. I don't have to be what people expect me to be, only what god commands me to be. I love serving with a staff that I can trust and that can trust me.We are family. I love the Faith-Family concept of "What we do we do together". I love being part of the team.

Interesting and Unusual Facts: I have varied interests, such as music, sports (GeauxTigers) and travel. I mostly enjoy my family. I am so blessed to have the most wonderful wife a man could have. My children have indeed made me so proud to be their Dad. I have two incredible sons-in-law.

Then there is my grandchildren... there is not enough space to write what they mean in my life. They are truly grand in every way.

I did play the stringed bass in a trio when I was in high school.

My Relationship with Christ: I was saved at the age of eight one Sunday afternoon while walking to childrens choir rehearsal at the church where my Dad was pastor. I was walking with our Minister of Music and he asked me if I had asked Jesus into my heart. I told him I had but I had never told anyone. I made my heart known that night in worship. I truly believe even at that early age God was preparing me to serve him with my life.
