Charles Card
Job title: Prayer Pastor
On the Brook Hills staff since: 1999
Birthday: January 1
Family: Margie and I have four children: Eugenia, a retired school teacher; Carol, a Medical Transcriptionist, Kenneth, a Commercial Caprneter Superintendant; and Tammy, a Registered Nurse in Mississippi. We enjoy playing cards, dominos and laughing together.
Ministry Calling: I was called to preach at the age of 18. I went to Samford and Southern Seminary. I served as Pastor in a few churches in Kentucky and Alabama. My ministry consist of facilitating prayer among the faith family, teaching on prayer, praying for our services, praying for people in need. I also, with Jim Shepards help, watch over Prayer groups praying for our Senior Pastor, our Pastor of Worship, and praying for our Faith Family.
What I Enjoy About Serving at Brook Hills: I enjoy the freedom here to be creative, to try new things and to work with the staff. I enjoy the friendliness of our people, meeting new people and helping people in different ways.
Interesting and Unusual Facts: I write songs and play a Ukelele (just for myself). Many of these songs have come from God as He speaks to my heart. I love to fish.
My Relationship with Christ: My relationship with Christ began at age seven. I trusted Christ with as much understanding as I had at that point. Later, as a teen, I experienced an uneasyness about that decision and made a recommitment of my life to Christ. Following this I was baptized. I have always felt a desire to serve people.
