A Foundation In God's Word
When we look to the mission and vision of the church, we look first to Scripture. Acts 2 tells us how the first century church was organized--and we believe it is exactly how God desires us to function as the Body of Christ (how Jesus and the Bible often refer to "the church").

Our Mission: To awaken a passion for the glory of God by making disciples of all nations
As we share the Word, show the Word, teach the Word and serve the world, we are modeling Christ with our lives, following Him and leading others to do the same.

> Hear the "Follow Me" Series of Messages on Disciple-Making

Our Vision: To Know Christ
The Word of God is central in the church and it alone has the power to conform people to the likeness of Christ. Our agenda is to be like Christ, and every other agenda is sacrificed to this vision.

> Hear the Message "Two Simple Words: Follow Me" (MP3)

Our Goal: To Impact the World
A church following the biblical model for ministry will be making disciples both locally and globally--the two are interconnected. By expanding our view of the world, boldly going into other contexts and cultures, we become more aware of the great "mission field" in our own backyard.

Our Values
Acts 2:42-47 shows us that the church is devoted to core principles that we live out daily. At Brook Hills we believe these to be what God wants His Church to be devoted to:

Biblical Proclamation: "They were devoted to the Apostles teaching...". The New Testament church devoted themselves to knowing and proclaiming God's Word--it was the foundation for all they did. From the messages our Pastor delivers on Sundays, to memorization, knowledge and study of Scirpture, to personally sharing the Gospel with others, God's Word--the Bible--is the heart of everything we do.

> Hear the Message "Speak Boldly" (MP3)

Sacrificial Care: "...to fellowship...". A community of faith is not a social club. The Bible shows us that Christians reach out not only when it's easy or convenient, but that God is concerned with how we care for all people, including the poor, the oppressed, the disenfranchised and the destitute. The early church helped others as they had need. Through our ongoing ministries and special opportunities we are consistently reaching out to others to meet practical needs and share the love of Christ.

> Hear the Message "Care Sacrifically" (MP3)

Wholehearted Worship: "...to the breaking of bread...". Worship is so much more than songs and a nice speech. We know from the Bible that worship is to be a lifestyle that glorifies God at all times. When we gather together for worship, we are celebrating the forgiveness of sins and hope we have in Christ, and identifying ourselves with Him in all ways.

> Hear the Message "Worship Wholeheartedly" (MP3)

Desperate Prayer: "and to prayer...". How does a church on mission pray? It's not a picture of a casual cell-phone talk between God and man. Prayer should open our eyes to God at work and opportunities to serve Him in the world around us. There is so much to accomplish for His Kingdom and so little time--we want to pray like lives depend on it, because, in fact, they do.

> Hear the message "Pray Desperately" (MP3)

Exponential Multiplication: "..and God Added Daily to Their Number Those Who Were Being Saved." Acts 2:47. Finally, we know that it is not our primary function to grow the church, but rather to be the church. As we give ourselves wholeheartedly to the mission for which we have been created, God will multiply our effort in a way that only He can get the credit for. Brook Hills desires to be the kind of church where our impact is utterly disproportionate to who we are as a group. When you see what's happening in our congregation, our prayer is that you may say, "Only God could have done that!"

> Hear the Mesage "Multiply Exponentially" (MP3)
