The Joy of Legal Documents
Our Church Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation may seem like real snoozers when it comes to exciting reading. However, these documents provide the governing foundation for our church, stating in detail its basic organization and structure, providing for succession of leadership and answering many necessary legal questions. In addition, these documents have been carefully and prayerfully prepared to be both consistent with Scripture and conforming to the laws of the State of Alabama.
The Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation were modified in mid-2006. The process took many months and involved the Senior Pastor and Staff leadership and senior lay leaders. The new Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation were presented to the Faith Family at Brook Hills, several town-hall meetings were held to answer questions, and the new documents were approved unanimously on August 20, 2006.
